The power of collaborative playlists

In high school, my friend Dakota and I agreed to make a collaborative playlist on Spotify that would put us in a good mood. We titled the playlist 'Havin a good day', in hopes of boosting our mood every time we listened. He and I have continued to add songs to this day in college to the playlist and I think it is probably one of the best ones in my collection.

Collaborative playlists let you enjoy your music while bringing in new ideas to the table. I enjoy all of the music I have never heard before and sharing music with Dakota that maybe he has never heard before. It is essentially like a musical pen pal situation for us and I think many others can benefit from this as well. I love collaborative playlists so much I don't have just one, I have many, with many people.

Try and start a playlist with a long-distance friend or significant other, I think you'll each expand your music taste in the process. I think you can get to know a lot about a person through Spotify.

Find out how to make one on Spotify here.

To all you Apple Music users out there, I hope in the future Apple will do you a service and give you this feature as well (Clearly, I am a Spotify lover)!
